New John Lennon covers album to aid Darfur

Green Day, Snow Patrol, R.E.M. and Christina Aguilera are among artists recording covers of John Lennon songs for a new album called "Instant Karma: The Campaign to Save Darfur". The tribute album will raise money for Amnesty International's campaign to end genocide in Darfur.

Jack Johnson, Corinne Bailey Rae, The Postal Service, Youssou N’Dour, The Cure, The Black Eyed Peas, Aerosmith and Willie Nelson are some of the other artists contributing to the project, with R.E.M.'s version of "#9 Dream" available for download now.

Yoko Ono has agreed to donate all publishing royalties from the album to the Darfur campaign.

"Instant Karma" will be released on CD on June 12th 2007.

Just what I need to read about today. I think this is an excellent reason for people (like you and me) to stop fearing the big stacks... and to stop bullying the small stacks. It was quite useful reading, found some interesting viewpoints in here, - Thanks!
